Kawasaki rider Ryan Voase has been declared the 2015 ACU British Veteran champion. following the decision to call the result after the five rounds that have already been run.

The sixth round was due to be contested at the Ken Hall event on the day after the Assen GP, but following the appalling weather and subsequent cancellation, track and rider availability have made it impractical to reschedule another date in the 2015 series.

World's largest MX bike collection to open

What its owners call the world's largest privately-owned museum of dirt bikes is to open next January in Illinois, USA. Called the Moto Armory, it houses hundreds of restored production motocross bikes plus lots of works machines too.

There are factory bikes from the like of Malcolm Smith, Gerrit Wolsink, Jeff Ward, Johnny O'Mara, Broc Glover, Ricky Carmichael, Carey Hart, Steve Lamson, Kevin Windham, Rick Burgett, Micky Dymond, Jeff "Chicken" Matiasevich, Andre Malherbe and Travis Pastrana right through to a Ryan Dungey KTM 450.

American Motocross star Mike Alessi has been confirmed for the Hawkstone International on March 7, 2010.

Local rider Ray Rawson is also officially in and the event organisers insist that 'with more confirmations coming in day-by-day - it is once again likely to draw in some of the biggest names from the Motocross World to battle it out head-to-head.'

The 13th Hawkstone International will see ticket prices remain at ?20 for adults while kids under 14 will go free. All tickets are to be bought on the gate. Parking is also free.

Former AMA Supercross/Motocross star Travis Pastrana, the first person to pull off a double backflip in competition at the 2006 X Games, continues to push the boundaries - this time on a tricycle!

AMA Motocross Championship leader Mike Alessi has undergone knee surgery, just days after a perfect 1-1 sweep of round three at Freestone County Raceway in Wortham, Texas.

The victory was Alessi's second of the season and pushed the Makita Suzuki rider 31 points clear of team-mate and double AMA Supercross champion Chad Reed.

However, Alessi's 2009 title hopes suffered what appears to be a mortal blow when he broke his kneecap in a practice accident on Monday. The American underwent surgery the following day.

Ramon starts the event looking to erase the absent Josh Coppins' 43 point world championship lead, but will face stiff competition from the likes of GPKR Kawasaki's Sebastien Pourcel - fourth in qualifying and the overall winner last time out in Belgium - as well as the top two qualifiers.

Kawasaki's Tanel Leok was sixth in the difficult conditions - in which only a handful of laps were completed - with Julien Bill, MX1 returnee Kenneth Gundersen and top Brit Billy Mackenzie completing the top eight.

The outfit, which made its debut in 2007, will return with factory backing for new signing Pascal Leuret in the World and British MX2 championships, and for the first time an entry into the premier MX1 class with fellow team newcomer Brad Anderson.

"I'm delighted to be able to announce our '08 line-up. Pascal is a solid performer and his podium in Portugal this year was just a glimpse of things to come. Brad on the other hand will launch us into MX1 with the potential to go for race wins from the outset on the new RM-Z450," said team principal Justin Banks.

The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) has suspended professional motocross rider Jason Lawrence for 'unacceptable behaviour detrimental to the sport'.

According to AMA officials, Lawrence - a 2008 AMA Supercross Lites champion - was arrested for disorderly conduct at Red Bud Track & Trail on July 4 while in Buchanan, Michigan, for round six of the AMA Toyota Motocross Series Presented by FMF.

Just one week after reigning AMA Supercross champion Ricky Carmichael was ruled out of the entire 2004 SX season with injury, RC's main rival - and reigning World SX GP champion - Chad Reed is now facing surgery himself.

Reed was tipped to take the prestigious AMA crown following Carmichael's withdraw, but Yamaha have now announced that the Australia 'injured his shoulder in an off the track accident this past weekend'.

Mickael Pichon to race MX1 at Mallory Park!

Former AMA and Motocross world champion Mickael Pichon will come out of retirement to ride for Martin Honda in this weekend's British Grand Prix at Mallory Park.

The Frenchman, who won the 250cc (now MX1) World Championship with Suzuki in 2001 and 2002, retired from grand prix competition in 2006 - but has decided to make a shock 'wild-card' return for the factory-supported Martin Honda team, whose riders Kevin Strijbos and Marc de Reuver have both been sidelined by injury.

Former AMA Supercross champion and reigning AMA Motocross champion James Stewart leads the list of entries for the 26th edition of the Paris-Bercy Supercross, to be held in the French capital from November 7-9.

The newly signed Yamaha star might be making his debut in the famous end-of-season event, but the Floridian will be the clear favourite to lift the King of Bercy title - and lead USA to victory in the team fight.

The South African round for the FIM MX1/MX2 Motocross World Championship has been removed from the 2009 schedule.

The event, which was to be held at Nelspruit, has been canned due to what organisers have dubbed as the 'difficult economical situation'.

So far the event, which would have hosted the 12th round of the championship on July 19th, has not been replaced.
