2010 Formula 3 Euro Series calendar announced

The 2010 Formula 3 Euro Series will once again feature races in five European countries.

The confirmed calendar currently comprises eight events, with each race weekend featuring two championship rounds.

Seven of the 2010 season's eight Formula 3 Euro series events will once again be held in the support programme of DTM.

A new addition to this year's calendar is the season finale at Magny-Cours, within the scope of the French 'Super S?rie FFSA'.

A ninth event might be added to the calendar but has not yet been confirmed.

Antinucci joins Promatecme F3.

Richard Antinucci will join the Promatecme F3 team for the remainder of the British F3 season and will make his 2003 race debut with the team at Thruxton this weekend [16/17 August].

Antinucci will contest the British F3 events at Thruxton, Spa, Donington Park and Brands Hatch and will hopefully stay with the team for the end of season races in Macau and Korea. He contested the Far East races in 2002 with the Promatecme team.

Antinucci joins Promatecme F3.

In celebration of his historic win at Knockhill last Sunday in the 2003 British F3 Championship gripped by Avon Tyres, Nelson Piquet Jnr. will line up on the Silverstone grid at around 12 noon on Monday 26 May to take to the Grand Prix track in his fathers 1978 Championship winning Ralt RT1 Formula 3 car.

Nelson Jnr will complete a number of demonstration laps for the spectators, photographers and television cameras.

Team Avanti driver, Matthew Gilmore, had his first taste of the Ralt Mugen-Honda F302 at Pembrey last Thursday, 14th February.

Twenty-year-old Matthew, who was also driving at Pembrey for the first time, commented: "It was great to get back in a car as this was the first time since December."

"The Ralt felt a very good, positive car and I am looking forward to doing some more testing in the near future."

The team tested at Pembrey on both Thursday and Friday with Gilmore and Andy Priaulx sharing the driving.

The second Championship and Scholarship class F3 races at Knockhill have been cancelled.

With an already packed schedule falling further behind due to bad weather, organisers were left with little choice but to cut the day's programme short with just one F3 race (from each class) completed.

Takuma Sato and Ernani Judice emerged victorious in the sole Championship and Scholarship class races respectively.

Hayes will again lead a three car team and is very up beat about his prospects.

Lorandi targets GP3 title after Trident move

Alessio Lorandi will return to the GP3 Series for a second full season in 2018 after signing a deal with Trident.

Lorandi, 19, made his GP3 debut with a four-race run for Jenzer Motorsport at the end of 2016 before completing the full season with the Swiss squad last year, taking one win and three further podium finishes.

Lorandi will return to GP3 for 2018, switching to Trident after testing with the Italian team at the post-season running in Abu Dhabi last winter.

Red Bull junior driver Dan Ticktum took provisional pole for the Macau Grand Prix after edging out Ferrari youngster Callum Ilott in the opening stage of qualifying on Thursday.

2017 Macau Formula 3 race winner Ticktum recorded a fastest lap time of 2m11.004s in the opening 40 minute session at the Guia Circuit, beating GP3 title contender Ilott by one-tenth of a second.
